In this residence a minimalistic approach is adopted. The emphasis is on creating a larger continuous space than on the individual elements. The existing internal walls were remodeled and some eliminated to create a fluid space devoid of any barriers creating compartments. Spaces were defined by the use of change of floor pattern or dip in ceiling. as observed in the staggered wooden tiles around the bar.
The fluidity and continuity is further enhanced by maintaining the colour palette and texture consistent. The wooden texture is used seamlessly from walls of the bar area flowing into the floor. The thread of the wooden texture is then woven over the battens in the ceiling and the entrance column. Gold roller blinds and cushions add that touch of glamour but in a subtle context. Indirect lighting in the living room completes the picture by creating a serene ambience.
